A Process Model Simulation Tool -Mapping from Process Models to Discrete Event Simulation

This paper presents an overview of how business process modelling and simulation can be used together. In particular the development of a prototype tool that automatically generates simulation models from process models is illustrated. We describe the process of the development of the prototype, the diierent models involved, Role Activity Diagrams and Discrete Event Simulation and the mapping of the elements of one to the other.
